Human Sexuality Week

Just a reminder that students will be receiving their human sexuality (or opt out) lessons this week.  With the gym closed down for the musical, we will be teaching curriculum in classrooms to complete the health program.

We hope there is an opportunity over the course of the week to talk to your child about human sexuality.  The module is very short and kids have so many questions, so hopefully the conversation at school can carry on at home.  Please be confident that we will have conversations with your child that approaches this topic from a scientific view point.  Extending the communication at home that can include your personal culture and beliefs with your child will make it a more meaningful experience.

Athletic Update

Congratulations to our badminton teams that competed in April.  We have exciting news to announce that our Intermediate team won their division and have claimed the Divisional Champion Banner.  Thank you to all the coaches that worked with these teams.

Our track and field meet is quickly approaching, Friday May 6th.  Our athletes have been learning in PE and training at lunch to compete at Glenmore Athletic Park (5300 19th St SW).  The athletes and volunteers must meet at CNG at 7:15am on Friday.  Our bus departs at 7:30am.  The schedule of events is posted at school and students have been asked to take photos of it to share with their families.    If an athlete need to be picked up early from the meet, please come check them out with the teacher supervisor in the stands (Ms McMahon).  The bus is scheduled to leave the track at 4:30 and hoping to be back at CNG shortly after 5pm.
